The Goal

Nationwide, a well-established insurance provider, joined forces with Hyper Fuel to enhance their digital brand image. This collaboration came into play when Nationwide acquired VPI, a leader in online pet insurance, leading to a need for a strategic integration of this new offering into Nationwide’s brand identity.

The Approach

We embarked on this journey in close collaboration with the Nationwide leadership team, conducting a series of workshops to define the brand transition from VPI to Nationwide Pet Insurance. Our key focus was to optimize the digital experience for Nationwide customers, ensuring that every interaction was intuitive, engaging, and insightful.

Our strategic efforts spanned across various critical areas, including digital and mobile experiences, content strategy, product architecture, social media integration, personalization, and conversion optimization. We took a holistic approach, looking at every aspect of the user journey and identifying opportunities for enhancement.

To safeguard VPI’s strong online reputation, we deployed an SEO strategy aimed at maintaining top search engine rankings for the term ‘pet insurance’. We understood the importance of visibility in the digital world, and we were determined to ensure that Nationwide Pet Insurance remained a leading name in the industry.

The Approach

In addition to this, we incorporated a robust social media strategy that allowed us to connect with a broader audience and engage them in meaningful conversations. Our content strategy was designed to educate, inform, and entertain, turning casual visitors into loyal customers.

Finally, we focused on personalization and conversion optimization, understanding that each visitor’s journey is unique. By personalizing the user experience and optimizing the conversion funnel, we were able to significantly increase the number of visitors who converted into customers.
